The Accommodation

Banks Court House is an award winning house built by the owners in 1999. The ground floor provides a one bedroom self contained apartment and large garage. The apartment is conveniently situated within walking distance of all of Cockermouth’s attractions and is suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The apartment was completely refurbished in 2010.

It offers comfortable accommodation and includes Sky+ TV with sports channels, wireless internet access, remote control electric fire, all linen including cotton sheets, duvet, bath sheets, bath towels down to dish cloths and pan scourers.

Heating by economy 7 night storage heaters and double glazed hardwood windows dressed with blinds and voiles. All these with no extra charges.

Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival. The apartment is non smoking and no dogs are allowed except for service dogs by prior arrangement.

Shower room has large cubicle, toilet and basin with hygienic lino floor covering.

The kitchen contains all the usual items you may need plus those small items to make your stay more relaxed.

Electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery for 4 people (ideal for visitors.) Above the worktop is an old fashioned laundry pulley.

In the hall cupboard you will find ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner, first aid kit and more.

The carpeted sitting room is cool in hot weather and warm in cold, with windows at sitting and dining ends. Sky+ TV gives the ability to record programmes during your stay. Games, jigsaws and a selection of books are available for your entertainment and to find your way around the area.

The bedroom has a 4’6” double bed with duvet, spare pillows and blankets are also supplied. The bed is made up and waiting for you.

Bedside tables, lights and clock radio, wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror over, hairdryer and razor adaptor are all provided.

Car parking is either outside or in the large attached garage, which can also accommodate bicycles. The garage also contains the washing machine, tumble dryer and large laundry pulley, ideal for wet coats or anything to drip dry.

Here you will also find washing powder, fabric softener, pegs and bird seed and peanuts for the outside birdfeeders.

Outside is a sunny, private patio with plenty of seating and dining table, perfect for relaxing dining. Rotary airer.

Prices - Friday to Friday bookings

10% discount on bookings of two weeks or more and repeat bookings.

One weeks stay is £350 per week, whether Easter, Banks Holiday or high summer.
